Our History and Legacy
The journey of SGI began under the guidance of the S.Sukhjinder Singh Memorial Education Society, established on 1st July 2002 in memory of the late S. Sukhjinder Singh Gill and Smt. Manjit Kaur Gill. The Society was founded with a noble vision: to provide quality education to the younger generation and enable them to contribute meaningfully to society in the modern era.
From a small, dedicated team of educators and visionaries, SGI has grown into a big family of institutions, shaping thousands of students from rural, urban, and far-flung areas of Gurdaspur and Pathankot. Over the years, SGI has earned a reputation as a top college in Gurdaspur and the best college in Punjab.
S.Sukhjinder Singh Memorial Education Society
The S.Sukhjinder Singh Memorial Education Society, VPO Hayat Nagar, Hardochhani Road, Gurdaspur, PIN-143521, is a charitable society committed to promoting professional and higher education. The Society was registered on 1st July 2002 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 vide No. DIC/BTL/Society 2002-2003/1380.
The Society’s mission is to bring students from diverse backgrounds onto a common platform, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to build successful careers. Through its initiatives, the Society has significantly contributed to educational development in border districts like Gurdaspur and Pathankot.
